Quotes Season 1

1.01 Premiere

AERYN : What is your rank and regiment? And why are you out of uniform? Rank and regiment, now!

AERYN : Officer Aeryn Sun, Special Peacekeeper Commando, Ikarian Company, Pleisar Regiment. Identify yourself.

AERYN : Look-- if you want to make one of these... wormhole things of yours... how do you expect to do that from inside this cell?

JOHN : How about we show them a little compassion?
AERYN : Compassion, what is compassion?
JOHN : Compassion? Wha... you're kidding right? It's a feeling that you have when you see someone else's pain and instead of taking advantage of their weakness you help 'em?
AERYN : Oh, I know this feeling.
JOHN :Yeah, well, it is a fairly common... human feeling.
AERYN : Mm, I hate it.
JOHN : You know what, I'm on the wrong team here, I'm just going to stay
AERYN : Fine, do what you want. But if you stay here with these lower-lives, you'll die with them.
JOHN : Yeah, well, how do I know I can trust you ?
AERYN : You don't. That's just another thing you don't know.

AERYN : Sir, he claims to be a human from a planet called Erp.

AERYN : Only that I have spent some time with him, sir, and I believe him when he says that what happened to your brother was an accident. I don't believe that he is brave enough or intelligent enough to attack one of our Prowlers intentionally.

AERYN : It's my duty, my breeding ? Since birth, it's what I am .
JOHN : You can be more.

1.19 - Nerve

AERYN: Didn't lie to you. My muscles are completely healed. But that knife must have penetrated my paraphoral nerve - and once that is damaged, it doesn't regenerate. So within 50 or 60 arns, its going to fail - and I am going to die. There's nothing you can do about it.

AERYN : This mission is foolhardy Crichton. It makes no sense for you to be killed as well. Let's just cut our losses.
JOHN: Drop the martyr routine Aeryn. I'm not gonna let you die.

AERYN : You came to see if I was dead so you could start going through my possessions.

AERYN : Thank you. If a warrior cannot die in battle. She can at least die alone.

ZHAAN : Why didn't you want me to tell her it was your idea?
D'ARGO : Earlier on, Aeryn told me she wanted to die alone. As a warrior, I should respect her wishes and not interfere.
ZHAAN : You did a good thing. You may have saved her life. Despite her words, she really didn't want to die.
D'ARGO : I don't even believe that she wants to die alone.
